Last week I had the absolute pleasure of capturing some beautiful photos for Sean & Amy at their Sunset engagement shoot at Hill Head beach & Meon Shore.
Hill Head is such a great location for engagement photos as it has all of the cute little beach huts, it looks awesome when the tide is out and there’s lots of little water pools on the shore (see some of the photos below) has stunning sunsets as it’s a wide open location, and just down the road a bit at Meon Shore there are some long reeds that provide a beautiful, soft backdrop that looks so pretty with the sun shining through. Sean & Amy were in love with those shots when I showed them the back of the camera!
Whilst we were on the beach there was a man feeding the seagulls and they were all flying around in the sky behind us, so I took the opportunity to incorporate the birds into the photos and I think the results are pretty cool, especially in the silhouette shots where the seagulls just become shapes in the sky behind.
It was such a pleasure taking these photos for Sean & Amy. I used to work with Sean years ago before I took my photography business full time nearly 6 years ago and it’s so nice that I get to be the one to capture his wedding, I can’t wait! It will also be nice to see some familiar faces as I know some of my old colleagues will be guests.
Considering I was informed that Sean hates having his photo taken and finds it difficult to smile, I think he did a great job and seemed really natural. I always give my couples a little direction and crack a few jokes to make them laugh and feel less awkward and then in no time we get lovely, happy and natural shots like these 🙂
