On Monday evening I had the pleasure of doing the lovely Caroline & Dave’s engagement shoot at Hill Head & Titchfield Haven and we were lucky enough to get a really beautiful sunset, which is why I love doing shoots during golden hour!
Caroline & Dave had the evening off from parenting as Caroline’s mum was looking after the children so they could enjoy some alone time for their shoot, so they brought along a bottle of bubbly which they cracked open on the beach.
I’m so lucky that Hill Head beach and Titchfield Haven are just a few miles away from where I live, it’s such a lovely location which provides some beautiful backdrops and variety for an engagement shoot with both the beach, beach huts and the reeds and greenery of the haven. I’ve actually ended up doing a few shoots there over the past year because of this and it’s also a nice change of scenery for some of my couples that aren’t as local and have never been there before.
I have lots of connections with Caroline & Dave as we went to the same school, Caroline was 2 years above me and Dave was in my older sister’s school year. They’re also good friends with my other sister and her husband who will be wedding guests. They’re friends with my brother in law’s sister and her husband too and I photographed their wedding at The Italian Villa back in 2016. Lastly, another one of caroline’s friends is someone that I see and chat to when we both walk our dog’s around the local park. They’ve been really sweet and said that they have added me onto their table plan to sit with my sister so it will feel like I’m one of the guests during the wedding breakfast, which will be lovely.

I’m looking forward to working with Magic By Alfie again at the wedding and I can’t wait to capture Caroline & Dave’s special day at Balmer Lawn in August! 😊 I’m keeping everything crossed that they’ll be able to have their full guest list in attendance, especially after having to reschedule their wedding from May!
