Sunset Engagement Shoot at Sandbanks
Last month I had the pleasure of photographing Andy & Leanne for their sunset engagement shoot at Sandbanks. When I arrived at Evening Hill to meet them, it wasn’t looking likely that we would get a sunset as the sky was pretty dull, but just 15 minutes after starting the shoot, the most beautiful burst of golden light broke through the clouds and we were blessed with an amazng sunset!
They picked the most perfect spot for an engagement shoot as the surroundings made for a beautiful backdrop and with it being the perfect time of day for the soft evening light, we ended up with a gorgeous collection of portraits.
That beautiful golden hour light just before the sun sets is a photographers dream and my most favourite time to shoot! Hopefully you’ll see why with the photos, but this is a big factor as to why I aim to do two bride and groom sessions on the wedding day as the light changes throughout the day and if a 2nd portrait shoot can be built into the wedding timeline and scheduled for the evening, I promise you won’t regret it as the photos will be really beautiful.
I’ve known Leanne for a few years now and met her through my sister as she is part of her lovely, girly friend group. I’ve been out with the girls quite a few times and Leanne also came to my sister’s hen do and wedding last year so I’ve really got to know her well over the last year and I can honestly say that she is a really lovely, friendly, kind and funny girl and I can’t wait to shoot Leanne & Andy’s intimate wedding at The Chewton Glen in The New Forest in January!
Don’t these guys just make the cutest couple!?
Hope you love the pics! 🙂
