Lucylou Photography Promo Film to give an insight into my personality and how I approach photographing weddings – By Devoted Films Corporate

I have been thinking about having a promo film made up for my business for a while now, but it’s a pretty scary thing to do, to just put yourself out there and talk about you and your business on camera! Last month, I finally decided that I was just going to go for it because what’s the worst that can happen from it right?…I’ll feel a bit silly and embarrassed for a while I guess, but it will help give couples an insight into my personality and the way I shoot and approach weddings. I started off with a basic vision of how I wanted the Lucylou Photography Promo Film to look and feel and then contacted the awesome Devoted Films who, I have worked with on weddings in the past and they actually filmed my sister’s wedding nearly 3 years ago!

I told Mark & Rick about wanting to make a promo film for my business and the ideas I had envisioned and we put our heads together and came up with a forest setting for an engagement style shoot with one of my amazing past wedding couple’s Charlotte & Ross. I also contacted the lovely Nicola, who is in charge of coordinating the weddings at Skylark Golf & Country Club, which is a beautiful barn wedding venue that is super close to my home in Locks Heath. Nicola was kind enough to allow us access to the barn to shoot the interview style part of my promo film and then we caught a bit of footage of me working in my office at home, then onto the forest to meet Charlotte and Ross for their portrait session.

Although I’m a very self conscious person and was super nervous about being filmed (you’ll see in the video as Mark & Rick left in a snippet of me saying about being nervous and then awkwardly laughing afterwards), I had a great time getting the Lucylou Photography Promo Film produced and it was lovely to see Ross & Charlotte again as we got on so well and had such a laugh on their wedding day. They also have some exciting news, which they’ve just announced…They’re expecting!!! Huge congratulations again guys and thank you so much for agreeing to be featured in my promo video! They’ve even asked me about taking our dogs out on a walk together soon, so really looking forward to that too!

I can’t thank Mark & Rick enough for their hard work on putting this together for me, you guys are awesome and have really captured the real me in this! The falling over part cracks me up!
